Requisiti e competenze:

Experience in youth work as a trainer

Experience mentoring, coaching and supporting individuals to facilitate personal, social and educational growth in young people as well encouraging greater social inclusion

Experience in delivering sessions , good level of English,

Good communication and interpersonal skills - Be able to work autonomously and have good teamwork skills

Develop organisational and communication skills: volunteers are willing to network and collaborate with local organisations and schools delivering some activities in their venues

Be tolerant, open minded and enthusiastic to work in an inter-cultural environment like the one we offer,

Note:

Type of organization: Non-governmental, non-profit organization

Objectives: to inspire, support and empower young people by promoting education, healthier lifestyles, and social cohesion through diversionary and non-formal activities such as sports, medias, and creative or performing arts.

Main Activities:

- Plan, organisation, preparation, implementation and evaluation of local and International activities supporting the trainer, learning and improving how to prepare and deliver sessions

- Willing to work evenings and weekends (two days of every week)

- Assessing the needs of young people, planning and delivering programmes in youth centre, schools, colleges and universities

- Help to develop a toolkit of activities and workshops

- Develop EVS promotional material in order to spread the opportunity to local organisations, inform local young people and international organisations

- Work maximum 36 hours per week

- Office tasks: checking and answering emails, researching material, planning and organising activities and events

- Establishing contacts and partnerships with local organisations, universities and colleges in order to promote the organisation, looking for local volunteers, planning and delivering activities, events and workshops

- Collaborating with local organisations in delivering activities and events

- Running workshops and organising events in Whitley Bay and Newcastle upon Tyne such as Italian language classes/tandem/movie nights/ book clubs/ cooking sessions; cultural exchange through the promotion of cultures and traditions to the local community of Whitley Bay and Newcastle upon Tyne

- Take pictures and make videos to promote the activities of the project in order to make OpportUNITY more visible at the local and international level

- Weekly updates of the OpportUNITY website and social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram)

- Running workshops about recycling in schools

- Organising sport activities at the beach and delivering informative activities about healthy lifestyle, how to save money not wasting food and water, what to eat and drink

- Develop their own project connected with their own interests

- Promoting ERASMUS+ objectives and EVS programme through workshops and seminars
